I AM

I AM-Open Bible with light in the dark above it

Jesus is and forever will be the great I AM.

When we hunger for truth and purpose for being,

I AM the Bread of Life.

When darkness surrounds, and we search for a guide,

I AM the Light of the World.

When decisions are difficult and direction unsure,

I AM the Gate for the Sheep.

When loneliness consumes, and we’re abandoned by all,

I AM the Good Shepherd.

When life appears hopeless, death the inevitable end,

I AM the Resurrection and the Life.

When belief systems confuse, and deceit’s the norm,

I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

When days loom unfruitful and relationships barren,

I AM the True Vine.

When government disappoints and proves fragile or cruel,

I AM the King.

Regardless of the circumstance, the need, or the care,

Jesus is and will remain our all in all.

  1. So powerful! I am studying the names/titles of Jesus on my blog this year. I may need to borrow this one day. I’ll let you know! So good. Thank you!
