True friends remind us of the truth in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV). “Two are better than one … if one falls down, his friend can help him up.”
We grieve a loss.
A friend stops by
recalling shared memories and joys.
Family difficulties arise
and hope seems dim.
Supporters reassure us we’re not alone.
Illness or accidents
make impossible routines.
Caring members fill in where we can’t.

We suffer the consequences
of poor choices made.
Those with God’s love confront, then forgive.
The pressures of life
crash down all around.
Devoted friends hold our hands as we cry.

Whatever it takes,
whatever the need,
we get through it much better together.
