Ah, love is in the air. Yes, it’s love month. And a time we celebrate memorable love. But, most of us wish to boost the love in our lives.

Because God never intended love to fall flat or feel thin.

Maybe we desire to boost our love for a spouse.

Perhaps, love seems rushed or less-than in some of our closest relationships.

Or, all of us, married and single, need a boost in the truth about love.

So, consider how we boost love for soul-mates, family, friends, our neighbor, and the One who calls us Beloved.

Love boosted. Love supercharged. And love supersized.

Therefore, I complied this list of memorable and amazing love-quotes. Words reminding our heart: how real love looks, what true love does, and why authentic love matters.

And words in an effort to boost our affections where we need it the most.

  1. Hi Karen,

What a wonderful work here! #3 from Timothy Keller speaks loudly into my marriage with Jason. I have been meditating on revival, in our own hearts. Your post is timely. Have a blessed day. In Christ, Julie

  2. Beautiful! I especially love “He who is filled with love is filled with God himself.” xoxo

    1. So do I, Melissa. Our ladies at church love Kelly’s studies and we just started, “Finding God Faithful: A Study on the Life of Joseph.” I believe her quote here came from her study, “What Love Is.”

  3. I love this post so much! Each quote and Scripture you shared is thought provoking. And comforting. I just read Romans 8:37-39 at a memorial service on Saturday. I shared with the family that not only can nothing separate us from the love of God, But also love never ends. It’s eternal.

  4. This is a beautiful list! Thank you for sharing both the quotes and scriptures. I am so moved by the Mother Teresa quote. I’ve never heard it.

“Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.”

    1. I agree, Nancy. I enjoyed researching and looking for some great quotes on love. Keller has written a lot about love and marriage. And I liked those Augustine quotes so much, I knew I had to include them.

  5. I love all these quotes, Karen! From the word, I think my fave that you shared is Zeph 3:17. I also loved quote number one (along with each of them for one reason or another). Thanks for the reminders about authentic love. GREAT post!

  6. Hi Karen. These are great quotes! Call me old fashioned, but I like Gary Chapman’s simple and practical descriptions of love in all 3 of his quotes above. And I always marvel at how much Jesus loves us to have made a decision to die for our sins before we were even created. So amazing.

    1. Stephen, I admit, I’m kind of old school as well. Gary Chapman definitely holds a top spot in the world of wisdom on love. But God is in the number one spot. Thanks for commenting.

  7. Such beautiful quotes and scriptures. And I love the power of God’s Word. Simply reading and taking in these verses helps to refill my love reserves. God is so good! Supernatural love filling my weak self. Amazing grace and love!

  8. Thank you, Jeanne. I “love” quotes about love. 🙂 Whether they come straight from God’s Word or others, there’s just something about boosting our love that makes us know it’s a good thing in our lives and relationships.

    1. Thanks, Melinda. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ― John 3:16
