“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1 NIV).
There are times in our lives when
the pain is so great, the sorrow so intense,
the confusion so overwhelming
that we think we cannot possibly endure.
Yet, in those very moments
God’s love can be so real,
God’s presence so unmistakable,
and God’s peace so calming.
God wraps us in arms of peace,
fills us with an unexpected joy,
and showers us with unconditional love.
He gives us hope.
Our difficulties may remain,
but we no longer carry them alone.
God will not leave. God will not fail.
God is ever-present God.
