“What would you like me to do for you? I’ve helped and healed others countless times.
“Once, many years ago, two blind men followed me and cried, ‘Have mercy on us, Son of David.’
“I entered a house, and they came to me. I asked, ‘Do you believe I can do this?’ They answered, ‘Yes, Lord.’
“Lord… perhaps they called me ‘Son of David’ because they heard stories told by others. They believed I could help them. It is well that they heard and believed, for in recognizing my power, their faith increased to the point where they could receive healing.”
Faith
“Faith is key to receiving. Whatever you ask in prayer, if you have faith, you will receive (Matthew 21:22). Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen with your natural eyes” (Mark 11:24). In the same way you are saved by grace through faith, you receive all things from my Father by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8).
“I touched their eyes and said, ‘According to your faith, be it done to you.’
“Man’s faith is small. Man’s faith is based on what he can receive through your five senses. Peter had a little faith in me, but he still placed greater faith in what he saw (Matthew 14:30-33).
“But if you have the faith from my Father, you can move mountains and receive healing and help for all things (Mark 11:22–24). Because they believed me to be the Son of David—the one who would restore Israel—they trusted I could restore their sight.”
“Their eyes opened. This is how healing and my power work: your faith in me releases my power into you.
Another time I went to Bethsaida. People brought a blind man to me. Because of the unbelief of others—and to prevent him from being discouraged—I took him by the hand and led him out of the village. There, I spat on his eyes and placed my hands on him.”
“I asked, ‘Do you see anything?’ He answered, ‘I see people, but I do not see them well.’ This was a sign that he believed, but only with a small amount of faith. If your faith in me is small, ask my Father for His faith, for God’s faith (Mark 11:22).
“Still, his small faith was enough to release my power in him. I placed my hands on his eyes again, and his sight was restored. I sent him home with the instruction not to enter the village. Doubt and disbelief are enemies of faith and hope (Matthew 14:30-33).
What would you like me to do for you?
“I am Jesus, your help in times of trouble. The One who healed all who came to Him. The One who—though dead—is alive.
“My words remain active and alive, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit and bring healing to your body (Hebrews 4:12). I encourage you to open your Bible, find a verse that speaks to your need, wound, issue, and place your hands on that verse. Believe my power still flows from my words. Then ask me to do for you what you desire.”
“I came that you might have life and have it to the full (John 10:10). I am waiting to help and heal you. Will you come to me?” — Jesus, The Word of God (Revelation 19:13)
“I am waiting to help and heal you. Will you come to me?” Our future hangs on our answer.
I love that He asks us this.
