Total Truth - Inspire A Fire

That God cannot lie is a truth our souls should cling to.

We live in a world where people say things they don’t mean and mean things they don’t say. But God was gracious to give us His Word—full of exactly what He meant for us to know. And all of it true.

If we are tempted to doubt God’s goodness to us, it is not because He has not already given us everything we need to hope in Him.

God is the fundamental need of our hearts. And we have been given all we need to trust Him fully. He is worthy of that trust. The storms of life will toss us up and down—we’ve been told to expect that much (John 16:33)—but we are also given the encouragement to believe that everything God says is true. He cannot lie. He cannot fail. He cannot love us any more than He does right now.

So how do we survive? We trust Him.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you” (Isaiah 26:3 ESV).
