So often, where I’d like to be is clearly not where He wants me to be. Who knows why? Maybe I’m not ready to be there. Or, taking the focus off me (I know, novel concept), maybe there are others who aren’t ready for me to be there yet. God’s timing is perfect. And not just for me, but for those I love. My husband, children, friends and family.

Okay. Actually, they laugh hysterically when the read them, but the reality is, if I give you directions, you are not going to get lost. At least, not if you follow them.
This need for detailed direction is probably why I struggle with Psalm 119:105.
I would like to remind you that at this point, I had not opened my Bible. I had not asked God to forgive me for waking up grouchy.
All I had done was approach the throne.
With a bad attitude.
And what does He have to say to me?
You are my favorite.
Huh?
Do you remember the story? In Matthew 8, Jesus has delivered the Sermon on the Mount, healed a bunch of people, and cast out a slew of demons. As the crowd grew around Him, He gave orders to cross to the other side of the Sea of Galilee. He was exhausted and He crashed.
The disciples were probably okay with that.
Until they weren’t.
