Significant Though Small

Significant Though Small--nativity scene with starOne little town,
yet a single event
changed the world and its history
through the Son God sent.

One ray of light
in a star-studded sky
directed those seeking
God’s Promise brought nigh.

One unknown girl
without status or fame
became mother of Messiah
as the angel proclaimed.

One tiny babe
with no bed of his own,
the Good News incarnate,
earth’s gift from God’s throne.

Any life deemed by others
as meaningless and small
gains significance and purpose
by following God’s call.
