“ . . . My hope comes in Him” (Psa. 62:5 NIV).
“Delayed answers to prayer are not only trials of faith; they also give us opportunities to honor God through our steadfast confidence in Him even when facing the apparent denial of our request” ~ Charles Spurgeon
What are you praying for today?
Are you waiting patiently on the Lord or trying to go ahead of Him and make things happen?
Where does your hope come from?
In my walk with the Lord, I’m learning to put my hope in God rather than others or myself. I’m also trying to wait on Him when I pray and pray with confidence. God’s Word tells us we can come to Him with our petitions, but then we need to leave them with Him.
And if our prayers aren’t answered when, how, and the way we want . . . we still need to:
- Trust Him
- Honor Him
- Thank Him
- Praise Him
- Worship Him
Faith building prayers are prayers we pray even though we can’t see the outcome or how they will be answered. But, that shouldn’t stop us from praying.
Now let me ask again, what are you praying for today?
Are you praying with faith and with hope in the Lord?
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need” (Heb. 4:16 NIV).
