Mother’s Day Every Day

“Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed.” ~ Linda Wooten

…Whenever I think about all the fantastic Mother’s Day celebrations my family and I have celebrated over the years, I’m all smiles one minute and then crying buckets of tears the next.

Honor your father and mother . . . ~ Matthew 19:19 ESV

Mother’s hands

Nostalgic memories of the way my mother’s beautiful hands held my sister and me, and then later, her grandchildren, stayed with me long after she went on to her heavenly home.

Thank you, Mom

I wish I had the chance to thank her one more time, or to say Happy Mother’s Day. Every Day.

I believe a mother’s love is like no other a child will ever know. The hats she wears from day to day can easily fill a wardrobe, but she may not always be a cheerleader or nurse or chef or even as easygoing like dad—as she selflessly carries unseen burdens throughout the day and then to bed each night.

Never forget her

I pray to never forget her best ways. The giver. The nurturer. The hostess. The prayer warrior she was and taught me to be.

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teachings of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. ~ Proverbs 31:26-27

A mother’s love, pain, and way

Maybe that’s why memories of her always lead me to tears . . . and one box of extra soft facial tissue is never enough.

To all who have known a mother’s love, pain, and way, I wish you all a million blessings and the most inspirational, happy Mother’s Day. Every Day.

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. ~ Psalm 127:3-4

Many blessings to come . . .

Wishing many blessings to one new momma who just learned she is carrying my youngest son’s child.

Thank you, God. I can’t wait to meet my youngest grandchild.

Happy Mother’s Day. Every Day.

Dear friends and moms of all ages,

Have you ever wondered how we can gain understanding and knowledge from both glorious moments and time spent in mucky trenches? It’s the place where pain and suffering meet wisdom, renewal, and strength. I believe my mother knew this truth, and in selflessly raising three daughters, God renewed her strength with the hope of heaven.

I’ve come to believe if I trust God with every fiber of my being, He meets me where I am and shows me His way. Every day. I hope and pray you trust him, too. Wishing you joy, peace, and strength for your journey.
