Love restored
By: Josh Clevenger
1 Corinthians 13:13New Living Translation (NLT)
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
We hear about the importance and significance of love all the time. Love is the strongest element we feel in our lives. Love gives us confidence attached with significance. It gives us an ability to move forward in life after hurt and disappointment. The power of love is felt and seen in our everyday lives, but love is not defined or confined to an expression of words. Love can be a warm embrace that signifies your love. Love truly stands alone in its significance.

Love is the foundation of our emotional balance, and our equilibrium in our self-evaluation. We see in the scriptures that love is the greatest spiritual attribute we have been given. Love is beyond the strength of faith and it is more important than the consistency of hope. Love is the greatest from all these things, but love is not easily defined.
If love is the greatest, then why do we not seek it more in our existence? Why do we fight love or accept partial love in our lives? We have an addiction for approval, but love is not always approval. Love can hide in actions or words. Love disappears in the monotony of life and can be confused for lust. We just do not need love, but we need a perfect love with no added ingredients.
The only source of perfect love is from the Lord. The reason why His love is perfect because love is defined by the source. My love is defined by my own personal traits and actions. The love of the Lord is defined by His own personal attributes. God is perfect, so His love is perfect in every way possible. His love fulfills and uplifts our soul. His love never tears down or takes away. His love never leaves or withhold. To put His love in a simple word, it is simply perfect.love
The Lord has restored trust in His love. The Lord has renewed hope in His love. The Lord has restored life in His love. Love is the greatest because it reflects Him. We all have the ability to give love, but His love is without end or error. His love gave us salvation and gave us peace. His love has restored our souls and healed our bodies. His love is the greatest and has no flaws. His love will stand forever in the reflection of His perfection. In His love, all of our needs are met and satisfied. His love is the definition of greatness and that is why we seek His love.
When you receive His love, it creates the abundance of personal security in our lives. When we feel secure and loved, it creates an ability to give love. You will be able to love your neighbor and give a reflection of the Lord to another individual. If love is the greatest, then giving it to a neighbor is the greatest act we can do in our lives. Have hope and faith, but always remember the greatest is His love.
