Joy for the Journey

Joy for the Journey--eagle soaring over cliff rocks

Whatever you do, wherever you go, seek the ultimate source of joy for the journey of life.

From the mountains of life’s triumphs

as we spread our wings to soar,

help us always to remember

you’re our source, God. We are yours.

Joy for the Journey--desert with dead tree

As we cross the plains and deserts,

when no change appears in view,

may we see the splendor round us.

Keep us focused, God, on you.

Joy for the Journey Valley between mountains

Though the valleys overwhelm us,

we will not fall in defeat.

God, we know that you will lift us.

You will make our lives complete.

Joy for the Journey-candle flame in darkness

Your never-failing love

gives hope when we’re hopeless,

shines light in our darkness,

grants joy for the journey ahead.

“You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence” (Acts 2:28 NIV).
